Nintendo Switch Console - Unpatched
Nintendo Switch Console - Unpatched is available from BK Shop. The information below provides useful details about Nintendo Switch Console - Unpatched to help you decide whether it is right for you.
Please review all of the information provided for Nintendo Switch Console - Unpatched before placing your order.
Nintendo Switch Console – Unpatched
This original V1 Nintendo Switch console, model HAC-001, is offered as an unpatched tablet-only unit. Its serial number has been checked and identified as belonging to the unpatched range associated with the original hardware-level RCM vulnerability.
This listing is suitable for buyers who already have compatible Nintendo Switch accessories and need a replacement tablet, or enthusiasts looking for an unpatched console for a homebrew project.
Only the tablet console is included. Joy-Con controllers, a docking station, power adapter, cables and other accessories are not supplied.
Original V1 Nintendo Switch Hardware
The HAC-001 is the original Nintendo Switch model. Its detachable-controller design allows a compatible setup to be used for handheld, tabletop and television play when the necessary accessories are available.
As this is a tablet-only listing, you will need to provide your own compatible controllers and charging equipment. Television play also requires a suitable docking station, power supply and HDMI connection.
This console uses the original V1 hardware. “Unpatched” describes its hardware vulnerability status; it does not mean the console has newer hardware, improved performance or the longer battery life associated with later revisions.
What Does Unpatched Mean?
Certain early Nintendo Switch consoles contain a hardware-level vulnerability associated with Recovery Mode, commonly called RCM. Enthusiasts seek these units because this vulnerability can provide a route for compatible homebrew projects.
The vulnerability is a characteristic of the affected hardware rather than a feature added through an ordinary software update. Updating system software does not remove that underlying hardware issue, although software versions can affect compatibility with particular tools.
Not every HAC-001 console is unpatched. This listing identifies the tablet as unpatched based on its checked serial number, rather than its model number alone.
Suitable for a Homebrew Project
An unpatched Nintendo Switch can be useful for technically experienced buyers interested in homebrew development, experimentation and software they are authorised to use.
This listing supplies the console hardware only. It does not include homebrew software, custom firmware, an RCM jig, a payload device, installation services or instructions unless explicitly stated elsewhere in the listing.
Unpatched status does not mean that the console arrives modified or configured for a particular project. Any additional equipment, setup and compatibility checks are the buyer’s responsibility.
A Tablet Replacement for an Existing Setup
If you already own compatible Nintendo Switch equipment, a tablet-only console allows you to reuse suitable accessories instead of buying another complete bundle.
You may be able to use your existing original Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers, compatible docking station and appropriate power supply. Check the condition and compatibility of those accessories before connecting them.
The tablet can also be useful as a separate project console, allowing you to keep another Nintendo Switch setup for everyday use. Decide how you intend to use it before ordering and review the listing carefully.
Storage, Games and Account Access
Do not assume that games, a microSD card or access to a previous owner’s Nintendo Account are included. Installed software and digital purchases should not be treated as part of the sale unless clearly stated and legitimately transferable.
If you need to move saved progress from another console, check Nintendo’s supported transfer options before replacing your existing tablet. Different games can have different save-transfer requirements.
Review the product details for any information about storage, system setup and the console’s current condition.
Check the Photographs and Listing Details
Please inspect the photographs for the tablet’s screen, casing and visible wear. Refer to the individual condition notes for any scratches, marks, repairs or other details disclosed for this unit.
Serial-number verification identifies the expected unpatched hardware range. It should not be confused with confirmation that a particular homebrew setup has been installed or tested.
If your purchase depends on a specific system-software version or a demonstrated hardware test, confirm that information before ordering rather than assuming it from the word “unpatched”.
What Is Included?

- Docking station.
- Mains AC power adapter.

Please review the photographs and condition information before purchasing to ensure this tablet-only console meets your requirements.

ages and interests. Depending on the console model,
Nintendo Switch can be enjoyed on a television,
in tabletop mode or as a portable handheld
gaming console. The Nintendo Switch family includes different console models, games, controllers and accessories.
Each model offers different features and
compatibility options, so customers should check
the individual product description before
purchasing. The Nintendo Switch family includes the
original Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch
OLED Model and Nintendo Switch Lite. The original Nintendo Switch and OLED Model
support television, tabletop and handheld
gaming. Nintendo Switch Lite is designed
for handheld gaming and cannot connect
directly to a television. Nintendo Switch 2 is a newer console with
different hardware, features and compatibility
requirements. Original Nintendo Switch
consoles cannot play games designed
exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. Please check the exact console model,
storage capacity, colour, condition and
included equipment in the individual
product description before purchasing. Nintendo Switch offers a wide variety of
games, including adventures, racing games,
platform games, sports, puzzles and
multiplayer experiences. Popular Nintendo franchises include Mario,
Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing
and many others. Games may be supplied as physical game cards,
digital download codes or editions containing
additional downloadable content. Some physical game cases contain a download
code rather than a traditional game card.
Previously redeemed download codes cannot
normally be redeemed again by another
customer. Nintendo Switch 2 games may also be supplied
as game-key cards, which require a compatible console and an internet connection to
download the game data before first use. Please check the individual product description
to confirm the game format, included contents
and console compatibility before purchasing. Nintendo Switch accessories include Joy-Con
controllers, Pro Controllers, docking stations,
charging equipment, carrying cases, protective
covers, memory cards and other gaming
accessories. Not all accessories are compatible with every
Nintendo Switch console model. Some controllers
and accessories may require additional
equipment, software updates or specific
connection methods. Nintendo Switch Lite has built-in controls
and does not support television output.
Some games and features may require
additional compatible controllers or
accessories. Please check the individual product description
to confirm the exact model, compatibility and
included accessories. Consoles, controllers,
charging cables and other equipment may be
sold separately unless specifically
stated otherwise. BK Shop offers a range of Nintendo Switch
products, which may include pre-owned
consoles, games, controllers and accessories. Pre-owned products may show normal signs
of previous use, including cosmetic marks,
scratches or general wear, as described
in the individual product listing. Original packaging, instruction manuals,
charging equipment, controllers, cables
and other accessories are only included
when specifically stated in the individual
product description. Please review the product description and
photographs carefully to confirm the
condition and included equipment
before purchasing. Nintendo Switch games and accessories are
designed for specific console models.
Compatibility may vary between Nintendo
Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Nintendo
Switch OLED Model and Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo Switch 2 can play compatible
original Nintendo Switch games, although
some games and accessories may have
limited functionality or may not be
fully compatible. Original Nintendo Switch consoles cannot
play games designed exclusively for
Nintendo Switch 2. Some games and accessories require console software updates, additional downloads,
an internet connection or a Nintendo Account.
Online multiplayer and certain additional
features may require a paid Nintendo Switch
Online membership. Customers should confirm compatibility
with their existing console and equipment
before purchasing. Where necessary,
please refer to Nintendo's official
compatibility information and
manufacturer instructions. Nintendo Switch games carry age ratings
to help customers identify suitable content.
Parents and guardians should check the
applicable PEGI age rating and consider
using Nintendo's parental control
features where appropriate. Consoles and accessories may contain
rechargeable batteries, small parts,
detachable components and electrical
equipment. Young children should be
supervised where appropriate, and all
products should be used in accordance
with manufacturer instructions. Only use suitable charging equipment
and compatible accessories. Customers
should inspect pre-owned electrical
products and accessories for visible
damage before use. Pre-owned Nintendo Switch consoles may
have been restored to factory settings,
meaning previously installed games,
saved data, Nintendo Accounts and
digital purchases may no longer
be available. Digital games, subscriptions and purchases
belonging to a previous owner are not
included unless specifically stated in
the individual product description. Customers should not assume that a
pre-owned console includes previously
downloaded games, online subscriptions,
additional controllers or other accessories
unless these are specifically listed. Please check the individual product listing
to confirm the console model, included
accessories and any additional equipment
required. Nintendo Switch consoles, games and
accessories are sold individually or
as part of a bundle, depending on
the individual product listing. Customers should not assume that additional
games, controllers, charging equipment,
docking stations, memory cards or other
accessories are included unless
specifically stated. Product-specific information always takes
priority over this general guide.
