Please review all of the information provided for Console Only - Nintendo Wii Official before placing your order.
Console Only – Nintendo Wii Official
Rediscover the Nintendo Wii’s distinctive approach to gaming with this official Nintendo Wii console-only listing. Its combination of motion controls, traditional button inputs and a varied game library makes it an appealing choice for returning players, families and collectors.
The Wii’s graphics and original video connections reflect its generation, but its appeal goes beyond resolution. Games built around movement, pointing and local multiplayer offer plenty of ways to enjoy a shared gaming session or revisit familiar favourites.
This listing is for the console only. Controllers, power supply, sensor bar, video cables, games and other accessories must be purchased separately unless explicitly stated.
Build Your Own Wii Setup
A console-only purchase is useful if you already have compatible Wii accessories or want to choose each part of your setup individually.
You can reuse suitable equipment from an existing console or select the controllers and connections that meet your needs. Before ordering, check the photographs, console model and condition details to confirm exactly what is supplied.
Features differ between Wii revisions. Do not assume that every Wii console supports the same accessories, display connections or additional functions.
Connecting to a Modern Television
If your television lacks suitable connections for the Wii’s original video cable, consider a compatible HDMI converter and HDMI lead.
This provides an HDMI connection between supported Wii hardware and your display, with compatible converters carrying picture and sound through one cable.
Picture quality depends on the converter, console settings and television. HDMI does not turn Wii games into native high-definition games, and improved picture or sound quality should not be guaranteed.
Component cables are another option for supported Wii models and televisions with the appropriate inputs. Check your equipment before choosing a connection, and allow enough cable length for your setup.
Power Supply and Sensor Bar
You will need a suitable power supply to operate the console.
A compatible sensor bar provides the infrared reference points used by the Wii Remote for on-screen pointing. The remote detects those lights; the sensor bar does not detect controller movement itself.
The official wired sensor bar connects to the console’s dedicated sensor-bar socket. Position it above or below your television and select the matching option in the console settings.
Choose Your Controllers
BK Shop’s preference is to pair the console with an Official Nintendo Wii Remote and an Official Nintendo Wii Nunchuck where the game requires one.
A standard Wii Remote provides buttons, motion-sensitive input and pointing functionality. A Nunchuck adds an analogue stick and extra buttons for supported games.
Check each game’s controller requirements. Some use a remote alone, while others need a Nunchuck, MotionPlus or another accessory. For multiplayer sessions, make sure you have the correct equipment for each player.
MotionPlus for Compatible Games
If your Wii Remote does not have built-in MotionPlus and you want to play a game that requires it, you will need a separate Wii MotionPlus Adapter.
The adapter attaches to the bottom of a standard Wii Remote and provides additional motion tracking for supported software.
A Wii Remote Plus already includes MotionPlus technology, so it does not need the separate adapter. Check which controller version you own before purchasing additional equipment.
Wrist Straps and Silicone Cases
Use a correctly fitted wrist strap during movement-based gameplay. It helps retain the remote if your grip slips, but you should still hold the controller firmly.
A compatible silicone case can improve grip and cushion minor knocks. Check that the case fits your controller, particularly if you are using a separate MotionPlus attachment.
Leave adequate space around you when playing. Neither accessory prevents every drop, impact or injury.
Optional Custom Firmware Service
BK Shop offers a Nintendo Wii modding service for buyers interested in additional homebrew functionality and personalisation.
Add the service to your basket alongside the console if you want BK Shop to carry out the installation. Review the service listing for what is included and any requirements.
The console is not supplied with custom firmware simply because the service is available. It must be purchased separately unless the listing explicitly states otherwise.
Optional External Storage
For a compatible homebrew storage setup, consider a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive and suitable hard drive enclosure.
Installing a drive in an enclosure can provide USB storage, but a standard Wii does not automatically run games from it. USB game loading requires an appropriate software setup, supported equipment and suitable drive formatting.
Confirm compatibility before purchasing. Formatting can erase existing files, so preserve any data you need first. Use homebrew software and game copies you are authorised to use.
Fresh Protective Vinyl Wrap
The console features a newly applied protective vinyl wrap, giving the covered surfaces a fresh appearance and an additional layer against minor scratches and everyday wear.
The wrap is cosmetic protection. It does not make the underlying console brand new or protect it against every impact.
Review the photographs for the exact design, finish and condition.
What Is Included?
This listing is for the Official Nintendo Wii console only, with the protective wrap described above.
The recommended accessories and modding service are separate purchases. Please check the photographs and full listing before ordering.
This Physical Product(s) is second hand, fully working, tested, and complete (no missing parts). Pictures are merely stock images, and the product might vary in condition.

What Is Nintendo Wii?
Nintendo Wii is a home video game console developed by Nintendo and originally released in 2006. It introduced motion-controlled gaming to a wide audience, allowing players to interact with games through physical movements using the Wii Remote.
Nintendo Wii offers a wide variety of games, including sports, racing, adventures, party games and family entertainment. BK Shop offers Nintendo Wii consoles, games, controllers and accessories to help customers enjoy this classic gaming system.
Nintendo Wii Console Models
Nintendo Wii was released in several models, including the original Wii, the later Wii Family Edition and the Wii Mini.
Original Wii consoles with GameCube controller ports can support compatible Nintendo GameCube games and accessories. The Wii Family Edition and Wii Mini do not support GameCube games.
Wii Mini has additional limitations, including no internet connectivity and no support for GameCube games or accessories.
Please check the individual product description to confirm the exact console model, colour, condition, compatibility and included equipment.
Nintendo Wii Games
Nintendo Wii offers a wide range of games, including Wii Sports, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Fit, Super Mario Galaxy and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
Games may require specific controllers, accessories or additional equipment. Some titles require a Nunchuk, Wii MotionPlus, Wii Balance Board or other compatible accessories.
Nintendo Wii game discs cannot be played on Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 consoles. Wii U can play compatible Wii game discs and supports many original Wii accessories.
Please check the individual product listing to confirm the game format, region, condition and included contents before purchasing.
Controllers And Accessories
Nintendo Wii accessories include Wii Remotes, Nunchuk controllers, Wii MotionPlus accessories, sensor bars, power supplies, AV cables, component cables and Wii Balance Boards.
A compatible Wii Remote, sensor bar, power supply and suitable television connection are normally required to use a Nintendo Wii console.
Additional controllers or accessories may be required for certain games. Wii Remotes use AA batteries, which may not be included.
Some games require Wii MotionPlus functionality. This may be built into a compatible Wii Remote Plus or provided through a separate Wii MotionPlus accessory.
Please check the individual product description to confirm exactly which accessories are supplied.
Product Condition
Nintendo Wii consoles, games and accessories may be pre-owned and show normal signs of previous use, including cosmetic marks, scratches, fading or general wear.
Game discs may show light surface marks, while controllers and consoles may have cosmetic wear consistent with their age and previous use.
Original packaging, instruction manuals, cables, controllers and other accessories are only included when specifically stated in the individual product description.
Please review the product listing and photographs carefully to confirm the condition and included equipment before purchasing.
Television Connections And Compatibility
Nintendo Wii consoles were originally designed to connect to televisions using analogue AV or component video connections. They do not have a built-in HDMI output.
Customers using modern televisions may require a compatible Wii-to-HDMI converter or other suitable connection equipment.
HDMI converters do not automatically improve the console's original game resolution. Picture quality may vary depending on the converter, television and connection used.
Some Nintendo Wii games and accessories are compatible with Nintendo Wii U, although compatibility varies. Wii U games cannot be played on an original Nintendo Wii console.
Please check your television connections, console model and accessory compatibility before purchasing.
Age Suitability And Safety
Nintendo Wii games carry age ratings to help customers identify suitable content. Parents and guardians should check the applicable PEGI rating before allowing children to play.
Wii Remotes should be used with suitable wrist straps, and players should ensure that sufficient space is available when using motion controls. Protective silicone covers may provide additional protection.
Customers should inspect pre-owned controllers, battery compartments, cables and electrical accessories before use.
Only use suitable power supplies and compatible equipment. Follow all manufacturer instructions and safety recommendations.
Online Services And Pre-Owned Consoles
Nintendo's original Wii Shop Channel and official Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection gaming services have been discontinued. Customers should not assume that online multiplayer, new digital purchases or other original internet services remain available.
Previously purchased Wii Shop content may still be available for redownload on eligible consoles, but this service is limited and may be discontinued. New purchases are no longer available.
Pre-owned consoles may have been restored to factory settings, meaning previously installed games, saved data and other content may no longer be available.
Some consoles may have modified software or additional features. These are only included when specifically stated in the individual product listing.
Important Information
Nintendo Wii consoles, games, controllers and accessories are sold individually or as part of a package, depending on the individual product listing.
Customers should not assume that additional games, Wii Remotes, Nunchuk controllers, sensor bars, power supplies, television cables or other accessories are included unless specifically stated.
Product-specific information always takes priority over this general guide. Please read the complete product description before purchasing.
