PS4 500GB Console Only Firmware 9.0 is available from BK Shop. The information below provides useful details about PS4 500GB Console Only Firmware 9.0 to help you decide whether it is right for you.
Please review all of the information provided for PS4 500GB Console Only Firmware 9.0 before placing your order.
PS4 500GB Console Only Firmware 9.0
The PS4 500GB Console Only Firmware 9.0 is an original Sony PlayStation 4 with a fitted 500GB internal hard drive and system software version 9.00. This second-hand console has been fully tested and confirmed to be working.
It is a practical option for customers replacing an existing PS4, putting together a setup using separately purchased accessories or specifically looking for a console running firmware 9.00.
This listing is for the console only. Controllers, power leads, HDMI cables, games and additional accessories are not included unless expressly stated elsewhere in the listing.
Original PlayStation 4 Model
This is the original PlayStation 4 design, commonly known as the PS4 Fat, rather than a PS4 Slim or PS4 Pro.
Its distinctive angular casing makes it recognisable alongside the later models. It supports compatible PlayStation 4 games and a range of entertainment functions, subject to the requirements of the individual game or application.
If you require a particular hardware model number, please contact BK Shop for any information not provided in the listing.
System Software Version 9.00
The installed firmware version 9.00 is an important feature of this console. It may be of particular interest to enthusiasts researching firmware-specific homebrew software, system utilities and console customisation.
Customers purchasing specifically for this version should consider how they intend to use the console before making changes to its system software.
Keeping the installed firmware may preserve compatibility with your intended modification method, but it can also limit access to games and services that require newer software.
Important Firmware Warning
If you want to retain firmware 9.00, do not update the console’s system software.
Installing a newer version changes the firmware and may affect compatibility with software or modification methods intended for version 9.00.
The console’s normal settings do not provide a firmware downgrade option. A standard factory reset also does not restore an earlier system software version.
Check automatic download and update settings before connecting the console to the internet, and consider any update prompt carefully before accepting it.
Homebrew and Console Customisation
Firmware 9.00 may appeal to customers interested in exploring homebrew applications and console customisation using methods intended for that version.
Modifications require separate preparation, suitable tools and technical knowledge. Compatibility depends on the method, software and configuration used, and cannot be guaranteed for every application.
This console is supplied as a standard working PlayStation 4 and is not advertised as already modified or jailbroken.
Research the requirements of your intended setup before purchasing or making changes. The installed firmware alone does not guarantee successful modification or support for every feature you wish to use.
500GB Internal Storage
The fitted 500GB internal hard drive provides space for compatible game installations, saved progress, downloadable content, applications and system files.
Usable storage is lower than the advertised capacity because of formatting and space reserved for system functions.
The number of games you can keep installed depends on their sizes, updates and additional content. Larger titles can use substantial storage, so removing games you no longer play can help free space for other installations.
Additional Storage and Saved-Data Backups
Compatible external USB storage can provide extra room for installed games without replacing the internal hard drive. An external drive must meet the PS4’s requirements and be configured appropriately.
An external hard drive is not included.
Extended storage for games and storage used for saved-data backups serve different purposes. Expanding your game storage does not automatically create a backup of your saved progress.
Backing up important data is sensible before experimenting with modifications or replacing storage. If retaining firmware 9.00 is essential, research any system software reinstallation requirements before changing the internal drive.
PlayStation 4 Gaming
The original PS4 supports an extensive library of compatible games across action, adventure, racing, sport, fighting, role-playing and other genres.
Physical game discs must meet the console’s installed software requirements. Digital content also depends on access to the relevant account, licences and applicable services.
Some games, updates and applications may require system software newer than version 9.00. Online features may also be unavailable without an update.
Check the requirements of the titles you intend to play, particularly if you plan to keep the firmware unchanged.
Entertainment and Connectivity
The PlayStation 4 supports Blu-ray and DVD playback, HDMI output, USB connectivity, Wi-Fi and Ethernet networking.
Some entertainment functions may require internet access, initial activation, account sign-in or newer system software. Availability of individual applications and services depends on their requirements.
To use the console, you will need a compatible controller, suitable power lead and an appropriate connection cable for your television or monitor. These must be obtained separately.
Tested Second-Hand Condition
This is a previously owned console that has been tested and confirmed to be working.
It may have scratches, scuffs, marks or other cosmetic imperfections from previous use. These do not necessarily affect functionality, but buyers should expect the appearance of used equipment rather than a brand-new product.
The console includes its internal components and fitted hard drive. External accessories are excluded from this listing.

The console supplied may differ in cosmetic appearance, including surface marks and signs of previous ownership.

What Is PlayStation 4?
PlayStation 4, commonly called PS4, is a Sony home games console. BK Shop listings in this category may include consoles, games, controllers and accessories. Check each product listing for the exact item and what is included.
Console Models and Storage
PS4 consoles are available in different models, including original, Slim and Pro versions. Their features and storage can differ. Check the individual listing for the exact model, capacity, condition and included equipment.
PlayStation 4 Games
Choose software identified for PlayStation 4. Check the title, edition, disc condition and included contents. Additional downloadable content, unused codes and specialist accessories are not included unless expressly confirmed.
Controllers and Accessories
Choose controllers and accessories compatible with your console and the game you intend to use. A similar appearance or a PlayStation name does not establish compatibility across every console generation. Check the exact accessory model before ordering.
Older PlayStation Discs
PS4 does not play PS3, PS2 or original PlayStation game discs. A separately released PS4 version of an older game is different from using its original disc. Check that the software you are buying is suitable for PS4.
Condition and Included Items
Review photographs and the stated condition. Pre-owned products may show wear. Original boxes, manuals, controllers and cables are included only where confirmed by the listing. Check whether a product is complete or sold as an individual part.
Accounts, Updates and Online Features
Online features depend on the game, service availability, internet access and account requirements. Some features may need updates or subscriptions. Previous owners’ accounts and digital purchases should not be assumed included. Check current availability if a particular online feature matters to you.
Age Suitability and Safe Use
Check game age ratings and relevant accessory instructions. Connect the console using suitable equipment and allow ventilation. Review all product-specific information before ordering; the individual listing describes what you will receive.
